South Fulton People Directory Guide
South Fulton people directories answer different questions because each keeper collects names for a distinct public purpose. The city roster is best for a municipal contact. Team Georgia covers state agencies and selected employees. Fulton property tools connect owners to parcels, while state business and license systems identify agents, officers, and credential holders. For a past resident, the Fulton County Library System collection and Campbell County records reach much farther back than the city itself.
| Directory source | People or names listed | Keeper | How to use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| City department rosters | Municipal staff and officials | City of South Fulton | Free department browsing |
| Team Georgia | State agencies and selected employees | Georgia agencies | Free agency or employee view |
| Enhanced Property Search | Fulton parcel owners | Fulton Board of Assessors | Free owner, parcel, or address search |
| Business and license portals | Entity agents, officers, and licensed professionals | Georgia Secretary of State | Free online search |
| Atlanta and suburban directories | Past residents and businesses | Fulton County Library System | Walk-in use, 1859/60 through 1991 |
| Haines criss-cross volumes | Occupants and businesses by address or phone | Fulton County Library System | Walk-in use, 1946 through 2016/17 |
A name may appear in more than one directory, but the entries are not interchangeable. A parcel roll identifies ownership, not certain residence. A registered agent accepts legal service for a company and may not own it. Historic directories can establish an address in a given year, but they should be compared with deeds, census material, or other records before drawing a conclusion.
Note: South Fulton became a city in 2017, so earlier people directories are usually indexed under Fulton, suburban Atlanta, or Campbell County.
South Fulton Staff Directories
The City of South Fulton staff directory works mainly as a set of department rosters. The legacy master route redirects instead of presenting one dependable name box, so the practical route is to open a department and browse its staff. The Police directory and Community Relations roster are examples of pages that expose public work contacts when supplied.
The inspected City Clerk roster showed named staff, titles, email actions, phone numbers, and additional phone numbers. It also supplied the department address, main phone, and a link back to the department page. The visible directory fields are useful for distinguishing two staff members with similar names.
| Entry field | What the South Fulton directory may show |
|---|---|
| Name | Linked staff name, often within a department list |
| Title | Public role or rank, when supplied |
| Contact action, which may be blank | |
| Phone | Work number, when published |
| Additional phone | Second public number, when published |
The official directory page provides a clear view of the city’s department-based structure. The South Fulton staff directory source is shown below, and the page remains the place to check for current entries.
Because a roster can omit a field or redirect, use the department’s main line as the fallback rather than guessing an email or direct extension.
Inside a South Fulton Directory Entry
An individual detail page may add context that does not appear in a short roster row. The inspected entry for Viveca Powell identified the Municipal Court department, the Public Defender title, a public phone number, an image, and a biography describing education, prior Fulton and Clayton public-defender experience, and a January 2018 start. It did not show an email, office address, update date, or downloadable contact card.
This sample inventory sets a safe limit on what the directory proves. For a former staff member or an older city record, contact the department or request an existing record through the City Clerk. Full request mechanics belong in the South Fulton public records guide.
Team Georgia Directories for South Fulton
Team Georgia is the official state directory route when a person’s work belongs to a Georgia agency rather than South Fulton city government. It offers By Agency and By Employee tabs. Agency mode includes an agency search and Grid, List, and Slider views; employee mode provides an agency selector and groups results by department.
| Directory mode | Control or field | Result details |
|---|---|---|
| By Agency | Search for an agency | Agency name, website, phone, address |
| By Employee | Select Agency | Rows grouped by department |
| Print view | Printable directory | Employee name, title, email, phone |
The inspected sample listed the Governor with title, email, and phone, plus the agency address. That demonstrates the portal’s entry pattern without implying that every state worker is present. The official state organizations page also provides an agency-first route.
The Georgia state organizations directory provides the visual agency gateway shown below.
Use it to identify the correct agency before moving to Team Georgia’s employee view or that agency’s own contact page.
Note: City and state directories describe separate governments, so match the person’s public function to the correct roster before searching.
South Fulton Education Directory Gap
The official Fulton County Schools staff page was reviewed, but its public people-search component did not render usable name filters, a school selector, results, or a coverage statement. The visible page exposed only general site Search and Clear controls. Those controls are not evidence of a district staff directory with known fields, so no teacher or school staff fields should be inferred from them.
No university physically located in South Fulton with a verified public faculty directory was established in the research. Georgia Tech has a working directory, but it is not a South Fulton institution and should not be presented as a local campus roster. For school contacts, start with the official district or school page and use its main public contact channel when no person index appears.
The manifest includes the Georgia Tech directory, which is shown here only as a regional Georgia directory, not as proof of a South Fulton university.
This distinction keeps regional resources useful without mislabeling their geography or their coverage.
South Fulton Property Name Directories
Fulton County’s Enhanced Property Search functions as an owner directory for land in South Fulton. The verified search modes are Owner Name, Parcel ID, and Property Address. A selected result can establish the parcel identifier, owner, assessment year, property type or division, value, and exemption status. Homestead status is only an owner-occupancy clue, not proof that a named person currently lives at the site.
The GSCCCA real-estate index adds grantor and grantee names, instrument type, dates, and book/page references. PT-61 transfer data may include sale price and buyer or seller addresses. The useful directory chain is address or owner name to assessor parcel, then owner or book/page to the deed index. Full images and premium tools may require an account, and the legal original remains with the Fulton County Clerk.
The Fulton County GIS gateway offers the mapped parcel context shown below.
GIS helps confirm which parcel a street address describes, while the assessor and deed systems remain the stronger sources for the owner name and title trail.
The official Fulton deed and lien directory interface is shown below.
Search roles and recording dates carefully, since one person can appear as buyer, seller, borrower, lender, or another party across different instruments.
South Fulton Professional Directories
The Georgia Corporations Division Business Search is a strong people directory when the known clue is a company, registered agent, or officer. It accepts Business Name with Starts With, Contains, or Exact Match modes, as well as Control Number, Registered Agent Name, Officer Name, and Designated Agent Name. Entity files can show status, formation date, principal office, registered agent, officers, annual registration history, and downloadable filings.
The Georgia business directory interface shown below also includes Service of Process and Trademark tabs.
A registered agent is a service contact and may not be an owner, so compare the agent entry with officers and filings rather than treating one field as full proof.
For credentials, the Georgia professional license verification tool searches by profession, license type, first or middle name, last name, or license number. Partial names can use a wildcard. Results may show license type, status, issue and expiration dates, renewals, associated licenses, and public board orders. Other official directories include the State Bar member search, educator certificate lookup, medical board verification, and insurance licensing route. South Fulton has no verified public browseable city occupational-license roster, so the fallback is a request for an existing register rather than an invented local portal.
Historic South Fulton Library Directories
Fulton County Library System Special Collections is the main local directory collection for past residents. These volumes predate South Fulton’s municipal name, so researchers must think in terms of Atlanta, suburban Fulton, street address, and older county boundaries. The collections are available for walk-in research at Central Library; archival collections require an appointment.
| Historic directory collection | Years held | Best use | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atlanta city directories | 1859/60 through 1991 | Name to address and business | Walk-in |
| Atlanta suburban directories | 1953 through 1986 | Suburban Fulton residents | Walk-in |
| Haines reverse/criss-cross | 1946 through 2016/17 | Address or telephone to occupant | Walk-in |
| Georgia census microfilm | 1820-1880 and 1900-1930 | Household comparison | Special Collections |
The Fulton County Library research gateway shown below also leads to genealogy databases.
Ancestry Library Edition requires use inside a library, while HeritageHub and MyHeritage have library-card routes. For materials not online, contact Special Collections by phone or email, visit during research hours, or arrange an archive appointment.
Campbell County Directories for South Fulton
Present-day South Fulton crosses an older records geography. Campbell County existed from 1828 until its remainder passed to Fulton effective January 1, 1932. Surviving FamilySearch catalog runs begin with deeds and indexes in 1828, bonds in 1831, court minutes in 1856, wills in 1863, land records in 1868, and a medical-practitioner register in 1881. These name indexes can reach a family or professional trail that a modern city directory cannot.
| 1828 | Campbell County deed and index runs begin |
|---|---|
| 1831 | Bond records begin |
| 1856 | Court minute run begins |
| 1863 | Will Book B abstract period begins |
| 1881 | Medical-practitioner register begins |
| 1932 | Remaining Campbell County territory joins Fulton |
The 1871 Old Campbell County Courthouse suffered a fire in 2022, but the available preservation source does not prove that archived county books burned. Keep the building event separate from the survival of cataloged records. That distinction prevents a vivid local story from becoming a false claim about missing directories.
Note: Historic postal labels and today’s city boundary are not reliable substitutes for the county and community names used in older indexes.
South Fulton Community Archive Directories
The Auburn Avenue Research Library adds Black newspapers and journals, Georgia and local church directories, vertical files, family genealogy, oral histories, and First Congregational Church records. Its Atlanta 1950-1970 Oral History Project includes more than 80 interviewed residents, offering named community evidence that will not appear in a current phone or staff directory.
The digitized 1970 Fairburn Star supplies named student creators and a classmate trail tied to a Rosenwald-funded Black school and its integration-era history. It is a real South Fulton-area school source, but no official public alumni directory or published local yearbook holdings list was verified. Likewise, no public neighborhood, congregation, union, civic-club, funeral-home, cemetery, or telephone-subscriber directory was found.
Business and civic rosters are also partial. The Greater South Fulton Chamber confirms a member-directory benefit without a verified public endpoint, while the South Fulton Development Authority publishes board members and terms. Treat a missing public roster as a cue to use the organization’s own contact channel, not as permission to infer membership.
